My wife, Heidi, and I have two boys Joseph and Max (13 and 11 years old). We are both graduates of the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) I received my first Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan in Sports Management & Communications and then earned my second degree in Physical Education with a minor in History. While in Ann Arbor I played on the baseball team for four years and was selected by my peers as a tri-captain in my senior year. I received my Master’s Degree from San Jose State University in San Jose, California in Educational Leadership & Administration. I believe strongly that our job as educators is to help others find their passion and help guide them in learning more about how to pursue that passion.
I taught Physical Education and History at the middle school level for two years. During that time I coached baseball, basketball, and volleyball. Next, I taught Physical Education at the high school level for five years. During that time I served as a class adviser for four years and also coached Varsity Baseball and Div. 1 College Cheer. I then spent three years as a high school assistant principal at two different high schools in California. I spent three years serving as the high school principal at Olivet High School. I served three plus years as a high school administrator at Jackson High School and helped open Jackson Pathways. I am currently serving as an innovative educator in my role as the Holt High School Assistant Principal.
I love athletics and being active. My family and I enjoy anything that we can do to get up and get moving to stay healthy. I love to collaborate and learn from other educators and business professionals around the state and country. I believe in focusing on the positive things in life and helping everyone find their passion.
I love my family and I love serving people as an educational leader!
